Day 2 of my summer project. To be honest, i instantly regretted the decision to do a photo a day. I feel like there isnt much to photograph where I am. Despite my boring setting, i managed to take an interesting photo. This is the graduation sign from my sister's party. It was left on the deck in the rain, and i thought it looked interesting. That was easy :) Hopefully I will this lucky tomorrow.. and the next 93 days.

I Lost My Mommy
At my sister's graduation party today we found a precious baby duck out in our yard. It lost its mommy. It was the most sad thing ever. The poor thing was crying.. or whatever the duck equivalent of crying is.. and was shaking. I got a pair of gloves and put it in a box with some towels in case we found someone to come get it. We named him Charles. I asked my daddy if i could keep him.. he said no. We ended up letting it loose back where we found it. It was so sad.
So i said a little prayer for the baby ducky. With a little faith, he will find his mommy. God loves little birdies too :)

Stinky Little Begger
So i was eating my lunch today before work, and it seems like i can't just eat in peace. See we have this dog, and he gets in my face when im trying to eat.
Exhibit A:
So this is my mother's dog Buster.. eyeing my tunafish sandwich. He is inching himself onto my lap, and his face is nearly on my plate.
But unlike my mother, i do not give into this face. I finished my sandwich, and he got none. So here is his "What?! You didn't give me any?!" face:
So there you have it. Call me selfish, but don't worry, this dog gets plenty of attention and is spoiled to death by my mother.

Blogging Beginnings
Hello :)
So i decided to start a small photo blog.. for no reason other than i can & i want to :)
First order of business, i discovered Lightroom today. AMAZING! Only because it takes away nasty film grain like no other program. You can see the grain the most in areas that are darker. It can be quite irritating, especially in portraits.
Some examples.
Before & After.
Sweet, right?!
So now i just have to save my photography money so i can buy the following:
- Lightroom
- Canon 85mm f/1.8 lens
- a wide angle lens (havent
decided what type yet)
- an external flash
the list goes on.. so hopefully with some patience and hard work, i will be rollin like a pro in no time ;)
